Overview

Volunteer: Health for All: Educating Communities for a Better Tomorrow in Bali — Join Global Nomadic as a volunteer in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. This program focuses on healthcare education and hygiene promotion in local communities. Location: Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Duration: 2-12 weeks. Cost: from 350 GBP per week. Fee Includes: all food, accommodation, pre-departure + in-country support, orientation and all project-related activities. Does Not Include: flights, travel insurance, personal spending, visas and vaccinations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in healthcare education initiatives that seek both medical professionals and non-medical personnel passionate about teaching basic first-aid and personal hygiene.
  • Support health camps and dental checkups conducted by qualified professionals while learning to teach basic hygiene techniques to prevent health problems.
  • Participate in running healthcare campaigns in local schools to emphasize hygiene practices, including handwashing, toothbrushing, and body cleanliness.
  • Help organize check-up clinics for local children and adults if you have a medical background.
  • Contribute to developing and updating project activities to stay aligned with goals.
Daily Life / Schedule

Typical days include morning lesson preparation (1–2 hours) and afternoon teaching (2–3 hours) at local schools or universities. You will begin with a briefing from the Medical Officer, attend classes, and then engage with students through interactive activities. The project aims to make a meaningful impact on community health through practical education and hands-on engagement.

Qualifications
  • Open to medical professionals and non-medical volunteers with an interest in healthcare education and basic hygiene instruction.
  • No medical background is necessary to join; those with medical experience can contribute by organizing check-ups and clinics.
  • Strong communication and willingness to work with diverse groups of learners.
