Company Description

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.

In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees.

Job Description

As a General Practitioner (GP), you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare to our clients.

Our clinic operates in a setting similar to community healthcare, offering a broad range of presentations and the opportunity to work across diverse and dynamic clinical challenges each day.

This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

  • Providing preventative health checks, immunisations, and health promotion.
  • Managing chronic diseases and attending to day-to-day medical concerns.
  • Supporting patients with acute and chronic mental health issues alongside our specialised mental health team.
  • Adapting to the changing needs of the immigration field, ensuring flexibility in your approach to care.
  • No Medicare, with a long appointment structure.
