The Star Brisbane is Australia's newest entertainment hub at the heart of the Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, featuring new dining, bars, entertainment options, a five-star hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

We are recruiting Safety & Security Professionals for various roles, from entry level to leadership. Interviews are scheduled for May with a start date in mid-June 2025.

This role offers an opportunity to demonstrate your asset protection and customer service skills at The Star Brisbane.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring safety of patrons, staff, and property, and taking preventative actions against disturbances and theft
  2. Monitoring and reporting disturbances and potential issues to management
  3. Interacting politely and professionally with patrons
  4. Responding to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances
  5. Controlling access to restricted areas

Qualifications required:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol, QLD Certificate 2 or 3 in Security Operations (including Crowd Control), and Senior First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Current QLD Security License
  • Experience in high-volume crowd control (preferred)
  • Professional appearance and grooming
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods
  • Flexible to work a rotating 24/7 roster including weekends and holidays
