Level A-C, $76,867 - $110,708 per annum, plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation.

0.6FTE part time (22.05 hours per week), continuing position available.

The English Language Teacher is responsible for delivering a range of English Language Centre (ELC) programs in accordance with relevant curriculum objectives.

Responsibilities include identifying student needs and goals, organizing student learning activities based on student-centred, flexible delivery methodologies, evaluating and assessing student learning, and maintaining high educational standards.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds, incorporating intercultural competency and well-being into teaching and learning.
  • A strong pedagogical background, with experience in designing and delivering engaging lessons that encourage student agency, using technology to enhance learning, and implementing effective assessment strategies.
  • The ability to adapt teaching styles to students with varying levels of English proficiency and provide support to help students achieve their academic goals.
  • A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 800 hours of experience teaching English for Academic Purposes to adults and be proficient in technology use, including databases, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other software, with high competence across the Microsoft suite.
