Hands-on role operating 8-10T forklifts in Maddington

Skillforce Recruitment is seeking an experienced 8-10 tonne Forklift Operator for a reputable client in Maddington, specializing in dewatering services, trench shoring, and equipment hire across mining and construction sectors.

This is a long-term position through to the end of the year, with potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

The Role

Responsible for the safe and efficient handling of large, heavy, and wide loads, including items up to 3.5 metres in length, using 8-10 tonne forklifts. The role requires physical strength, skill, focus, and a strong commitment to safety.

Requirements
  • Current and valid high-capacity forklift certification
  • Proven experience operating 8-10 tonne forklifts with oversized and heavy loads
  • Physical fitness to lift, move, and handle large items and stand for long periods
  • Attention to detail and precision in load placement and warehouse organization
  • Ability to assess and manage load stability and space limitations
  • Clear communication skills with warehouse and transport teams
  • Team player willing to assist colleagues and maintain smooth operations
  • Strong understanding of safety standards for site and load handling
