Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vent/Strata Coordinator located in Blackwater, QLD. The Vent/Strata Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating ground control (strata) management and ventilation activities. Day-to-day tasks include constructing and remediating ventilation devices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating strata support installation. The role involves coordinating with other departments and ensuring the implementation of best practices in ventilation and strata control.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ground control (strata) supervision/coordination and ventilation construction in underground coal mining
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and risk assessment procedures
  • Strong project coordination and management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in underground coal mining is essentia
