Procurement and Contract Management Officer

Location: Pilbara / other WACHS locations considered

Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Permanent - Full Time

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time or Fixed Term Full Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

This position is based in the Pilbara region, with placement available in Hedland, Karratha or Newman. Other WACHS locations may be considered with regular travel to the Pilbara region.

Position Profile: The Procurement and Contract Management Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of procurements and contracts to ensure the effective delivery of health services and goods. This role provides specialist advice, support and guidance on procurement and contract management practices, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards.

Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.

The Procurement and Contract Management Directorate supports WACHS in all areas of procurement and contract management, including providing governance, support and advice, developing and managing strategic contracts and providing input into Whole of Health clinical contracts. Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
