Overview

Location: Guildford, WA, AU. Reporting into the WIP Shed Supervisor, the Trade Assistant will join the WIP Shed Department on a Full-Time basis at our South Guildford location. This role involves working alongside our CRC teams to manage and deliver work-in-progress materials between the WIP Shed and the Component Rebuild Centre. Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously are crucial for ensuring smooth and continuous operations.

Roster: 5 On, 2 Off — 2 weeks dayshift, 2 weeks nightshift, 10 hrs/day.

Department: The WIP Shed manages the flow of work-in-progress materials between strip down and rebuild stages, supporting the Caterpillar Rebuild Centre with reliable and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and safety. What You'll Do
  • Assist in the movement of materials within the WIP Shed
  • Manage inventory and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Operate forklifts, including counterbalance and high reach forklifts
  • Support the team in maintaining high standards and safe work practices
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow
Skills & Experience
  • Experience with mining, construction or industrial equipment
  • Forklift License is essential; Dogging highly desired
  • Experience with Caterpillar Dealership and engine overhauls is highly advantageous
  • Good attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5
