About the role

We are looking for reliable, caring, and compassionate Domestic Services Assistants (DSA) to bring joy to our residents' day.

Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, you will:

1. Carry out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment
2. Perform carpet cleaning of all areas using a carpet cleaner
3. Clean residents' rooms, including ensuites, furniture, and equipment, as appropriate, along with communal and administrative areas
4. Ensure common living areas, hallways, and all other areas of the facility (including front entrance courtyards and verandas) are maintained in a clean, tidy, and safe condition
5. Ensure the safe storage, security, and labelling of cleaning materials in line with MSDS, in consultation with the Residential Services Manager, while being aware of environmental requirements for cleaning products and disposal
6. Replenish cleaning liquids and materials, observing safety procedures
7. Report stock shortages, breakages, and defects promptly to the Residential Services Manager

This opportunity is perfect for someone who is available to work part-time covering the following days and shifts:

Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am to 3pm, and Saturday from 8am to 12 midday

Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am to 3pm

About you

Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective and compassionate communication with residents, families, employees, and volunteers; patience; common sense; and an understanding of client service.

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
• Experience using a professional carpet cleaner
• Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills to meet deadlines
• Ability to operate with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Commitment to teamwork
