Location:The Community Rehabilitation Unit is seeking an enthusiastic & motivated Senior Speech Pathologist to join their team.
The Team:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team with a focus on client centred goal setting, rehabilitation planning and program delivery.
CRU is an adult outpatient rehabilitation service working with clients with a diverse range of diagnostic conditions.
CRU clinicians work with clients to achieve their goals in our well-equipped centre and in the client's home and community.
CRU is located at the Repatriation Centre, 90 Davey Street, Hobart
The Role:
The Senior Speech Pathologist always behaves in a manner consistent with the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Conduct, the State Service Code of Conduct, and in accordance with organisational policies.
You will need:
- To work as an effective member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in the assessment, planning and delivery of speech pathology services for clients and their carers referred to the Community Rehabilitation Unit, Southern Tasmania (CRU).
- To provide clinical leadership, professional support and ensure best practice standards for speech pathology services provided by CRU, in accordance with organisational policies and professional codes of conduct.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 - $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
Salary Packaging:
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
- Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
- Professional development and accelerated pathways.
- A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.
- Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.

- Eligible for membership with the Speech Pathology Australia
Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements - Full member of Speech Pathology Australia
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Experience in a relevant rehabilitation setting
Post graduate qualifications, or working towards this in a relevant area
