About the Role

We're seeking a Brand and Communications Manager to define, evolve, and own the Handy Finance brand narrative. This role is perfect for a strategic storyteller and idea generator who thrives on building brand trust, awareness, and engagement through compelling campaigns, powerful copy and channel innovation.

You'll work closely with our marketing, product, and executive teams to ensure that everything we communicate, from blog posts and press releases to social media and customer emails, embodies our values, tone, and story.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Brand Narrative :

Develop, articulate, and evolve Handy Finance's brand story, voice, and positioning to resonate with our audiences and reflect our values.

  • Build Trust and Awareness :

Lead the strategy and execution of brand campaigns and communications initiatives aimed at increasing brand recognition and credibility.

  • Establish Owned and Earned Channels :

Define and grow our owned (website, blog, newsletter, social media) and earned (PR, media, influencer) channels with a clear roadmap for reach, engagement, and impact.

  • Copywriting and Content Creation :

Be the in-house wordsmith—writing and editing everything from website copy to thought leadership articles, executive messaging, and campaign assets.

  • Idea Generation and Campaign Development :

Continuously contribute creative ideas and concepts to enhance our brand presence and engagement across channels.

  • PR and Media Relations :

Develop media strategies, pitch stories, and nurture relationships with journalists and publications that align with our brand objectives.

  • Measurement and Insights :

Track and report on brand metrics, media coverage, and content performance to inform and optimize future initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in brand, communications, or content roles - ideally within fintech, startups, or the finance sector.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong portfolio of brand and editorial work.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative streak, you love big ideas and know how to make them happen.
  • Comfortable managing multiple content formats : long-form, short-form, digital, video scripts, and more.
  • Strong understanding of brand-building principles and digital channel strategies.
  • Media savvy with experience pitching and securing earned media coverage.
  • A collaborative, hands-on, and proactive approach.
