Crescent Respite is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Workers, around Geelong VIC, who have experience supporting people including young people with complex disability and behaviour to join our dynamic team
Ability to communicate clearly is a must. If you have experience working with people who have complex needs (including; behaviours, mental health issues, criminal justice related issues, child protection background, history of trauma, history of living in residential care, drug/alcohol abuse etc), we'd love to hear from you.
About The Role
We are looking for experienced Support Workers who believe in second chances and are passionate about supporting clients to re-integrate back into the community. You will be providing 1:1 assistance in daily living skills in our newly established SIL accommodation in Geelong for 6 hours each day including weekends. No sleepovers are required.

- Minimum 1+ years experience within the disability, community services or similar
- Experience working with youths with challenging behaviours (highly valued) and intellectual disability.
- Willingness to support clients with personal care, medications, community access, meal preparation, domestic chores and mealtime assistance.
- Certificate III or above in Disability Support or similar
- Must be available to work 15+ hours per week.
- Valid Victorian Driver's License
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Manual Handling certificate
- Medication Administration certificate
- Victorian Working with Children's Check
- National Police Check (obtained within last 6 months)
