South Central Truck and Bus is the sole South Australian distributor for the range of MACK Trucks, UD Trucks and Volvo Truck & Bus range of products. We sell new and used trucks and buses and provide service and parts to our customers.
The position
We are seeking motivated and reliable Heavy Diesel Technicians. We offer the opportunity to routinely do technically challenging mechanical repair work. Whilst Service work is important to us, it only accounts for about 20% of our workshop activity. Duties will include:
- Diagnostic analysis using the latest diagnostic software and computer equipment on a range of trucks and buses
- Strip down and rebuilds of engines, gear boxes, diffs etc
- General repairs, service and inspections to engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs etc
- Completion of service sheets and other job-related documents
Skills / Experience
- Minimum certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualification
- Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused team
- Current HC/HR drivers licence an advantage but not essential
- Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards
