Salary – $90,000 – $110,000 includes annual leave loading & superannuation + vehicle options + mobile + laptop

About The Role

We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done :

• Working in the social model means you'll work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
• Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
• Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
• Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
• Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
• Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
• Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
• You'll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor

To Work As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, You Will Have a Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Bachelor, Masters Or Graduate Diploma) And Relevant Registration Such As The Below

If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registrationIf you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registrationIf you are a Social Worker, you will have a degree in Social Work and eligible for AASW membershipIf you are a Mental Health Nurse, you'll have a degree in Nursing and AHPRA registrationYou have a degree in Psychology, Psychological / Social Science or related field

You'll Also Need

Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support PractitionerA positive and flexible approach to workStrong communication skills and be a team playerCommitment to personal and professional growthA valid Australian drivers licenseNDIS Workers Screening CheckWorking with Childrens Check
