Group Financial Reporting Accountant role at REA Group.

The Role
  • Preparing external and internal reports, including submissions to the ASX, Board, ARCC, and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting external and internal audit processes by providing required documentation and insights.
  • Developing accounting papers on key technical accounting matters in accordance with both IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Partnering with and advising stakeholders on accounting considerations and implications.
  • Reviewing and refining financial reporting processes to identify and deliver ongoing improvements.
  • Managing allocated month‑end activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and report inputs.
  • Assisting with Investor Relations activities.
  • Preparing key quarterly reports, setting up and managing key files to support reporting, analysis, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Maintaining and updating key accounting and reporting documents to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify process improvements/efficiencies for finance teams reporting to the Group.
  • Strong project management skills to efficiently ensure monthly reporting requirements (both internal and external) are well planned and executed.
Who We're Looking For
  • A first mover out of Big 4 or 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • A savvy mind and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Experience with SOX / US GAAP desirable.
  • Strong initiative; willingness to take ownership.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, numeracy skills and accountability.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Previous experience with NetSuite, Blackline and Adaptive desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
