Platypus Shoes is part of the Accent Group, the largest footwear group with over 850 stores, 34 brands, and 30+ online platforms including Glue Store, Skechers, Vans, Dr. Martens, The Athletes Foot, Timberland, Hoka, UGG, Saucony, and Nude Lucy.

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join us at our Brisbane DFO store

In this exciting opportunity, you will support the Store Manager in leading a team of passionate casuals. You will work collaboratively to drive sales and KPIs, deliver excellent customer service, and coach your team.

The role & responsibilities:

  1. Ensure efficient operation of your store to achieve sales targets, KPIs, store presentation, visual merchandising, stock levels, wage control, and shrinkage.
  2. Motivate your team to achieve KPI and added value targets across the store.
  3. Monitor store sales closely to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, acknowledging outstanding results and identifying missed opportunities.
  4. Manage wage costs effectively, adhering to weekly wage targets and rostering standards.
  5. Coach and mentor your team to maintain high morale and support their development with training and succession planning.
  6. Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and maintain safe store operations.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. Experience as a full-time or senior casual sales assistant, key holder, supervisor, or 3IC.
  2. A motivated and proactive 'Make it Happen' attitude.
  3. Passion for leading and inspiring teams to succeed.
  4. A proven track record in driving sales and meeting KPIs.
  5. Operational excellence with experience in stock control and visual merchandising.
