Be a Key Player on Ward 5A – Join Us as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

Bring your nursing skills to Ward 5A, Princess Alexandra Hospital, work in a supportive team environment focused on quality, evidence-based care, with opportunities to develop your clinical knowledge and leadership skills. Fixed-term part-time position for 12 months, 64 hours per fortnight

About Your Role

As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse on Ward 5A, you will deliver person-centred, evidence-based nursing care under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Ward 5A specialises in caring for patients with acute internal medicine needs, cognitive impairments, and hypertension. You'll contribute directly to patient care, coordinate with the healthcare team, and support assistants in nursing.

You are a dedicated Enrolled Nurse who is eager to work in a collaborative hospital setting. You bring a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care and a willingness to grow your clinical skills.

Key Skills And Attributes

• Current registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with medication endorsement
• Commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, compassionate nursing care
• Experience or interest in caring for patients with cognitive impairments and acute medical conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and team members

Princess Alexandra Hospital

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
