Overview

Lead Cyber Advisor - (EL1 Level) contract role with IT Alliance Australia. Location: Canberra and Sydney. Length of contract: 12 months with possible extensions (two extensions of six months each). Security clearance: Australian Citizen; baseline clearance to be processed after onboarding.

Role: Lead Cyber Advisor - (EL1 Level).

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert cybersecurity guidance and advisory services at an EL1 level as part of client engagements.
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application security issues.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Membership in Category A or B of the ACSC IRAP Assessor Membership program, or a minimum of five years' technical ICT experience with at least two years dedicated to information security for systems governed by the ISM and related publications.
  • Proficiency in implementing the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Essential 8 strategies.
  • Specialist advisory capability level 5: provides definitive expert advice, maintains expert knowledge, oversees others, and promotes knowledge sharing.
  • Secure Operations Management level 4: develops or operates security management procedures and monitors Security Operating Procedures without close supervision.
  • Policy and Standards level 4: incorporates recent advances in Information Security into policies and standards; mentors teams working on policies and standards.
