  About The Role..
  
  The Employment Consultant position we have available is based in our Disability Employment program located in Wallsend. This program supports clients with a disability, navigate the world of employment.
  
  Role
  
  Your role works in conjunction with other members of your team, each fulfilling an important part in supporting clients day-to-day as they navigate life finding employment and being employed. As an Employment Consultant, your role supports clients from the start when they initially join with Breakthru, it includes:
  • Promoting the benefits of employment
  • Reverse marketing to employers
  • Delivering job readiness training sessions
  • Providing on the job support & ongoing support
  • Placing customers in sustainable employment
  • Drive community and employer engagement
  • Establishing & maintaining relevant stakeholder relationships
    
    
  You will also be required to complete a range of administration to document a person's progress in line with program funding and reports.
  
  About You..
  
  This exciting opportunity is available immediately and is perfect for someone with experience supporting clients with disability who's passionate about helping them find sustainable employment.
  
  We're looking for someone who is confident with computers, administration, and time management, while also being genuinely passionate about community connection and helping others achieve their goals.
  
  You'll thrive in this role if you're a natural relationship-builder, adaptable in your communication style, and motivated by seeing positive outcomes for clients.
  
  Your Background Might Include
  • Disability or direct support work (including complex or essential services)
  • Personal, family, or lived experience of disability
  • Administration, recruitment, or human services experience, with a passion for the disability sector
  • Key Deliverables:
  • Support clients with disability to access and navigate services
  • Build strong relationships with clients, employers, and community partners
  • Provide high-quality administrative support and manage time effectively
  • Contribute to meaningful community connections and employment opportunities
  • Represent the organisation with professionalism and disability confidence
  • Drivers License (essential)
  • Criminal record check (essential or willing to obtain)
  • Working with children's check (essential or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Workers screening clearance (essential or willing to obtain)
