The Lumus Imaging team at Werribee is growing
Werribee Mercy Hospital, located just 25 km west of Melbourne on the Princes Highway, is a dynamic public general hospital offering a wide range of services, including surgical, maternity, orthopaedic, and a 24-hour emergency department. Since opening in January 1994, the hospital has grown rapidly to meet the needs of Melbourne's fast-growing western suburbs. A new emergency department is currently underway with a view to have it completed late 2026, which will increase treatment spaces from 33 to 67.
We are currently seeking a Obstetrics Sonographer to support the team at Werribee. Our new public hospital provides a dynamic environment where you'll be supported by an incredibly dedicated and collaborative team, led by flexible and supportive management working across operation theatres, a newly built emergency department, and ICU.
This position is offered on a Full-Time or part-time basis, working Monday to Friday from 8 am – 5 pm with on-call shift work and occasional weekend shifts.
Relocation support is also available for successful candidates looking to join our region.
To be successful in this role:
- Qualified Obstetrics Sonographer with ASAR Accreditation
- Competent with general US exams, obstetrics, and gynaecological scans
- We also welcome dual qualified Sonographer/Radiographer candidates and can support their development.
- Commitment to quality and patient care is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to thrive in our team-oriented environment.
- Ability to prioritize a busy workload and work effectively both independently and within a team.
