Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the Sydney CBD. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, contribute to the successful delivery of client goals, and develop your career in project management. As an Assistant Project Manager at BGIS, you will support senior project managers and ensure the smooth execution of various project phases, from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects, ensuring all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
  3. Help manage project schedules, resources, and budgets.
  4. Support the preparation of project documentation, including reports, proposals, and contracts.
  5. Monitor project progress and assist in addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
  7. Contribute to project meetings and maintain project records.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. A degree or relevant qualification in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Previous experience in project coordination or management is highly desirable (within construction, facilities management, or a similar industry).
  3. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  6. Experience with project management software is a plus.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
