About the Role

The Manager, Finance Business Partnering, plays a key role in delivering effective financial support and strategic advice to internal clients. Leading a team of finance business partners, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial performance analysis, and project financial management.

This role ensures alignment with the Department's financial strategy, policies, and budget priorities while maintaining compliance. You will provide expert guidance, applying strong engagement, problem-solving, and financial management skills to support decision-making and drive business performance.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities

  • Effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop employees in providing high quality financial business partnering services in accordance with developed strategies, frameworks and policies.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and effective internal client liaison regarding financial business partnering services ensuring the integrity of financial information and compliance with Government and Department financial strategies, policies and procedures that will add value to client decision making and the achievement of business outcomes.
  • Apply well developed engagement skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills.
We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Finance Business Partnering to lead a team in delivering high-quality financial support and strategic advice. This role is key in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong partnerships across the department.

You will bring extensive experience in finance business partnering, with a proven ability to develop executive-level stakeholder relationships and negotiate effectively. Your leadership skills will cultivate a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement. With strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, you will interpret financial data to support decision-making and business performance.

Success in this role requires a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements in financial services. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for presenting financial insights clearly and effectively. Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline.
  • Membership of CPA or CA
