About the opportunity

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up greens, top dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging
• Assisting in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals
• Safely operating and maintaining small machinery and plant, considering risks to self and others
• Assisting with equipment and plant maintenance repairs, following the grounds and gardens maintenance plan
• Assisting in the ordering and purchasing of materials

About you

To be successful, you will bring relevant skills and experience including:

• Knowledge of maintaining playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing
• Ability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals
• Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery
• Experience in equipment and plant maintenance, following the grounds maintenance plan
• Ability to assist in ordering and purchasing materials
• Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level or completion of an apprenticeship
• Note: You are not required to be Catholic for this position.

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
