Job Title: Senior Consultant

Reporting To: Associate Director – Consulting

Location: Sydney or Remote

Job Purpose:

SHL helps organisations assess, select, and develop the right people for the right roles using proven, science-based assessments, technologies, consulting services, and benchmark data.

The Professional Services team at SHL plays a pivotal role in delivering client solutions through consulting and product-led interventions. The Senior Consultant role offers an opportunity to work with key clients, providing senior-level consulting across talent measurement solutions.

This role involves leading significant and complex projects, requiring consulting expertise and organisational psychology knowledge, especially in interacting with senior stakeholders. The role also aims to ensure profitable revenue growth by scoping and selling consulting solutions that meet client needs and address talent challenges.

This position reports to the Associate Director – Consulting, ANZ and is based in Sydney or remotely from elsewhere within Australia.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Project Delivery: Providing first-class delivery, developing client relationships, managing projects, and advising on SHL products and services to meet client needs and foster growth.
  2. Solution Design and Delivery: Designing and delivering solutions in talent management, assessment, post-hire solutions, learning and development, and product consulting.
  3. Project Leadership: Leading delivery teams on critical projects, ensuring scope and quality, managing stakeholder expectations, and resolving issues.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Contributing to business growth by advising on profitable consulting work, exploring market trends, and improving service quality.

Requirements:

  • Psychology registration preferred, especially in Organisational Psychology.
  • Strong networking and client development skills.
  • Experience in client-facing roles.
  • Background in assessment and development, familiar with SHL products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of SPSS is a plus.
  • High achiever with enthusiasm, adaptability, resilience, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Australia and New Zealand.
