About the Role

Truck Centre (WA) is currently seeking a suitably qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or an experienced and qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (looking to upskill) to join our busy team located in Geraldton. This role will see you being responsible for providing a high quality of workmanship on our Volvo, UD & Mack Truck products to the standards expected of our product names.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate sufficient training and extensive experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or be looking to upskill from your current Light Vehicle Mechanic qualification.

This must include the following:

  • Relevant Heavy Duty Automotive Trade Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • A Cert III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential)
  • High levels of computer literacy
  • Adhere to health and safety in the workplace
  • A positive and proactive approach to your work
  • Problem-solving, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail
  • The ability to mentor and develop Apprentices with varying skill levels.
