The Opportunity

Are you a qualified High Voltage Electrician looking for a secure and rewarding opportunity? Join our dynamic team delivering excellence in mining while maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental standards.

About The Role

By joining our team, you will be part of a workforce focused on developing a strong performance culture that values everyone's contribution equally. As a High Voltage Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing servicing, repair, and maintenance of AC drive Electric Haul Trucks, workshops, and facilities as directed, in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation.
  • Working safely and complying with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
  • Completing general maintenance, breakdown repairs, services, and component change-outs.
  • Conducting periodical statutory electrical testing and inspections.
  • Sourcing technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Conducting inspections to maximize equipment utilization.

About you

As a successful applicant, you'll be a safety-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work will ensure your success. The ideal candidate will hold:

  • Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent
  • HV Switching certification (desirable)
  • Proven experience in a similar role in heavy industry or construction
  • Current LVR / CPR
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Current Standard 11
