Overview

Work in a vibrant aquatic environment at one of Townsville's most iconic community facilities Tobruk Memorial Baths is seeking a hands-on Café & Kitchen Manager to oversee our café operations while enjoying the unique atmosphere of a busy swim and recreation centre.

What you'll do:

  • Manage day-to-day café and kitchen operations with a focus on quality and service

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to a high standard

  • Lead, train, and support your team to deliver excellent service

  • Handle cash management, stock control, and daily sales performance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards

  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the CVM team

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a café, hospitality, or kitchen leadership role

  • Current Food Safety Certification

  • Strong knowledge of café service and commercial kitchen operations

  • Great communication and organisational skills

  • Blue Card, CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)

  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a busy environment

City Venue Management is a facility management company operating aquatic centres and health clubs from the Gold Coast through to the Sunshine Coast, as far west as Toowoomba and also in New South Wales. We currently operate 42 sites across Queensland and New South Wales and continue to grow and develop with each passing day.
