We are looking for an outstanding Services Developer with a primary focus on Quality with the skills to participate in the design, development and deployment of SaaS offerings with the aim of Coaching their team to adhere to strict Quality outcomes. You will be joining a high-powered experienced team who follow agile development principles, and who value well-designed software, creative thinking and thrive on solving the unsolvable.

You will be working on technology spanning mobile communications (voice, messaging, email, safe browsing, password manager), and fintech/payments all underpinned by strong security and privacy principles. You will be working on a team that builds software that supports mobile apps and web portals written in Swift, Kotlin, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Participate in architecture, design and implementation (not full time)
• Take requirements and develop appropriate solutions that adhere to specifications
• Interaction with assigned Product Development Team
• Develop techniques and approaches to operate more efficiently
• Participate in story and task estimation
• Guide release procedure
• Experience with automated testing and applied knowledge as to its applicability
• Driving good quality practices for the Product Development Team
• Lead exploratory testing
• Lead internal testing initiatives
• Lead sprint-oriented exploratory testing
• Lead defect management and triage
• Advocates for quality and performance tracking with released products
• Interaction with Product, Support & other stakeholder departments
• Feeds into product improvement based on quality concerns (i.e. tranquility)
• Participate in an on-call roster
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in benchmarking, test planning & test design
• Strong understanding of and experience with Quality concepts
• 3+ years of experience developing backend systems in a Linux environment
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, CloudFront, CloudWatch, VPC, CloudFormation)
• Experience in a continuous integration/deployment environment
• Experience in medium to large scale cloud-based environments
• Experience implementing and maintaining unit, integration and system tests
• Some experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and JavaScript
• Experience working with security process & practices
• Ability to support services with an on-call rotation
• History of Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving skills
• Innovative and detail-oriented
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree a plus

• Deep knowledge of TypeScript
• Experience developing with security APIs and technologies
• Ability to develop maintainable, well-designed software under tight deadlines
• Fluency in multiple programming languages
• Experience in IOS or Android development
• Knowledge of Clean Architecture concepts
• Familiarity with SOC2 requirements
• Experience working at a startup
