Project Manager – Commercial & Retail Projects | Sydney-Based Builder

Are you a confident Project Manager looking to take full ownership of mid-sized commercial or retail projects? We're partnering with a highly regarded construction group in Sydney who are seeking an experienced and driven PM to join their growing team.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects in the $10M–$20M range, this is an opportunity to step into a leadership role where you can make your mark without layers of red tape.

The Role :

You'll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-profile fit-out, refurbishment or new build projects across Sydney, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met – while building strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and clients alike. Your first project will be a $15M million retail development on the lower north shore. This is a high-impact, technically challenging build involving multiple retail interfaces and coordination ready for tenant fit-outs.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage project delivery from pre-construction through to handover

Oversee construction programs, contract administration, and budgets

Lead site teams and foster a collaborative working environment

Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and consultants

Drive best practice in safety, quality, and compliance.

What We're Looking For :

Minimum 10+ years' experience in commercial or retail construction

Proven success delivering projects valued $10M+

Ability to work autonomously and make confident decisions under pressure

Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail

A natural leader who builds trust and respect with teams and stakeholders

Local experience essential - must understand Sydney subcontractor market
