Job Description

The Senior Automation Test Engineer will be a key contributor to the project team, which integrates a secure, user-focused web portal with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and digitizes critical workflows. This transformation delivers real-time access to services, data, and insights for businesses and regulators, replacing fragmented manual processes with streamlined, automated solutions. The result is enhanced transparency, faster compliance, and a strengthened measurement infrastructure to support innovation, global trade, and public trust.

In this role, you will lead the advancement of both functional and non-functional automated testing capabilities. You will be responsible for designing and configuring automation scripts for React web applications, mobile applications, web services, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Automate, and Canvas Apps. The position also involves conducting end-to-end testing for complex D365 CRM implementations, integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, and delivering performance benchmarking to ensure optimal system reliability and scalability.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in both functional and non-functional testing to support a cloud-based, client-facing React web portal integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. In the functional automation space, you will be responsible for constructing complex automation test suites using TypeScript, C#, Python, ASP.NET 8 Core, and YAML to validate end-to-end processes, applications, systems, and services. You will design, develop, and automate tests using browser automation frameworks such as Microsoft Playwright and Selenium WebDriver, as well as create user interface tests for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and other Power Platform model-driven applications using the Easy Repro framework. The role requires integrating and managing automation suites within CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for nightly regression testing, monitoring and reporting results, logging defects, and collaborating with manual testers and developers to investigate and resolve issues. You will also lead automation initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.

In the non-functional testing space, you will be responsible for designing and executing performance, load, and stress tests using tools such as JMeter or Azure Load Testing, analyse results, and provide actionable insights. You will configure and use Azure Application Insights to monitor performance metrics and diagnostics, and develop automated test scripts to validate end-to-end API integration points using tools like Postman. The role also includes promoting web accessibility by testing for compliance with accessibility guidelines using tools such as WAVE, NVDA, and SortSite. Additionally, you will set up Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to support non-functional testing, test management, and automation across all applications, as well as validate security remediations where required.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading functional and end-to-end testing activities across a range of platforms and technologies including user interfaces (e.g. web applications, mobile applications, web services and Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Automate, and Canvas Apps.)
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated regression tests and scripts for web applications, using browser-automation frameworks such as Selenium and Playwright.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated test for Dynamics 365 using Easy Repro.
• Experience in integrating automated test suites within Azure DevOps pipelines for regression and release testing.
• Experience in planning and executing non-functional distributed performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or Azure Load Testing.
