We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Our Data Center Design Engineering team is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to drive transformative mechanical design solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. You'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation data center technologies, shaping critical infrastructure that powers global cloud computing.

• Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical design engineering team across the Asia-Pacific region
• Drive the team\'s global design consistency and standardization of mechanical systems across multiple geographical regions
• Manage and approve mechanical equipment innovations and design submissions
• Establish robust processes for internal design development and third-party vendor management
• Oversee procurement and technical specifications for mechanical Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment
• Manage team reporting, hiring, growth opportunities, annual goal reporting, KPIs and performance reviews

A day in the life: Imagine leading a dynamic team of mechanical engineers who are re-imagining how data centers are designed and built. Your day will involve strategic planning, innovative design reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop mechanical solutions. You\'ll navigate complex technical challenges, manage vendor relationships, and make critical decisions that impact our global data center infrastructure.

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Extensive experience in mission-critical design
• Proven track record in project management
• Experience managing a team of mechanical engineers

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineering license
• Comprehensive understanding of data center design and critical equipment
• Expertise in building codes and regulations across the Asia-Pacific region
• Experience with fast-track design and complex upgrade projects
• Strong ability to develop and communicate complex technical business cases
