What's the role?

This role plays a pivotal part in our mid to large-scale network security operations team. Responsibilities include handling Level 3 escalations, organizing vulnerability assessments, and managing maintenance windows.

Your intermediate to professional knowledge in coding and scripting will be essential in supporting our network automation platform, which addresses customer requests. Your expertise will also extend to scripting for database queries, enhancing the databases that store network telemetry and status information. Key Duties :

  1. Install, configure, and upgrade hardware, systems, and software for networks.
  2. Manage network and security performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
  3. Identify, analyze, and manage risks at every stage of work.
  4. Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining access controls.
  5. Undertake project design and architecture tasks, including high-level and detailed design work.
  6. Provide technical consultation to business and technology stakeholders to support relevant infrastructure partners and other teams.

What do I need?

  • Coding Skills: Python scripting/coding (Intermediate level) — primary importance.
  • DevOps Tools Skills: BitBucket, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Terraform, Vault.
  • Network Security: Operational expertise in networking, with experience handling complex network challenges. Familiarity with F5 load balancer, GTM/LTM, Firewalls (Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate), VMware (Broadcom) NSX.
  • Data Management Skills: Data collection, schema binding, data manipulation, and analytical skills.
