About the role

The Lead Engineer, Additive Manufacturing plays a key role in shaping the future of metal 3D printing in Australia. You will lead a team utilizing multi-laser or ring-laser powder bed fusion technologies, collaborate with industry partners, and drive innovation in metal additive technology. Responsibilities include guiding a team, optimizing workflows, ensuring safety and quality standards, and managing multiple projects.

What you will bring
  • Experience leading metal AM solutions in an industrial setting, with knowledge of design for manufacture, laser powder bed fusion, and project management within quality systems.
  • Hands-on experience with L-PBF platforms, including process development, post-processing, and technical documentation.
  • Experience in engineering design, product lifecycle management, and vendor relations.
  • Leadership skills in building and growing technical teams.
  • Qualifications in engineering or relevant professional experience.
Essential requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with metal AM processes, including operation and validation.
  • Ability to work onsite at Bradfield four days a week.
