Overview

Downer Professional Services provides pay range information and is a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner for Defence and National Security projects. The role is based onsite at Campbell Park, Canberra, and supports the delivery and enhancement of the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) under the JP9101 project.

What You'll Do
  • Support the EL1 and Deputy Integrated Project Managers with project coordination and reporting.
  • Maintain project documentation including plans, status reports, and risk registers.
  • Monitor timelines, milestones, and budgets, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Facilitate meetings, track action items, and engage with SMEs for technical input.
  • Assist with procurement activities and ensure compliance with Defence policies.
What You'll Bring
  • Tertiary qualifications (preferred) and experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of Defence systems including ODCS and ASDEFCON.
  • Proven ability to manage project planning, reporting tools, and financial principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
  • Experience in Defence capability projects and relevant certifications (e.g., CPPM, PMP).

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
