Contract Term: Long Term / Permanent
Pay: $40–$45 per hour (based on experience)

Days and Hours: 5 days per week (Some flexibility for the right candidate)

Ideally Mon – Thurs and Sat – 25 hours per week
3:00 pm – 8:00 pm

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced, gentle and nurturing nanny to care for 2-year-old boy each weekday afternoon in Balmain, NSW. This is a long-term position with a relaxed and thoughtful young family who values emotional intelligence, independence, and calm connection.

About You:

Ideal candidate will be..
Gentle and child-focused; able to follow the child's cues and interests
Calm and intuitive – not into strong discipline but understands boundaries
Experienced with toddlers
Happy to cook and do light household support
Comfortable with cats (The family have 2 – no pet care needed)

Typical Afternoon and Responsibilities:
  • Pick up the child from daycare at 3:00 pm (10–15 minute walk)
  • Support relaxed, child-led play and interaction at home
  • Prepare and serve dinner for for the child
  • Evening wind-down: bath, storytime, bedtime routine
  • Light housework: tidying, grocery shopping, and kitchen organisation
Expectations:
  • 3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
  • Childcare qualifications preferred
  • Toddler Experience
  • Have a current first aid certificate
  • Have a current Working With Children's Check
  • Display strong communication skills and speaks English
  • Non smoking
