Today, nearly 200 people worldwide work remotely for Speechify, which has no physical office. Our team includes frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and professionals from Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Stanford, Stripe, Vercel, Bolt, and other startups and founders.

Overview

With our iOS app ranking as the #18 productivity app in the App Store and recent recognition as Apple's 2025 Design Award for inclusivity, we are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to support our growing user base and develop new projects to advance our mission.

This is a strategic, impactful role suited for someone who thinks big, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about product decisions, and has experience creating engaging user experiences.

Our interview process includes several technical rounds, typically completed within one week.

What You'll Do

  • Lead key engineering and product decisions
  • Ship production code for the Speechify iOS app
  • Collaborate within a dedicated product team
  • Contribute to product discussions and roadmap planning
  • Maintain and improve the app's complex architecture

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • Experience working on products with large user bases
  • Proven track record from inception to traction, responsible for engineering outcomes
  • Customer obsession and commitment to excellent user experience
  • Product thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work quickly, prioritize, and focus
  • Technical expertise in Swift and SwiftUI

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in Swift programming language
  • Experience with SwiftUI
  • Knowledge of multithreading programming
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Fastlane
  • Understanding of SOLID principles
  • Experience with Git and version control strategies
