About The Role

As our next Excavator Operator, you will represent our Production Mining Team, thrive on challenges, and enjoy a variety of work. We seek passionate and energetic individuals who value responsibility, recognition, and rewards.

  • Operate machinery efficiently and safely as a highly skilled production operator.
  • Comply with Thiess' policies and procedures.
  • Respond to instructions from the Mining Supervisor.
  • Excavate to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms, and pit walls.
  • Maintain floor levels.
  • Minimize dilution and achieve design parameters within acceptable tolerances.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Carry out pre-start checks.
About You
  • Minimum of 5 years mining experience as a mining production excavator operator.
  • Experience operating Hitachi EX3600 is essential.
  • Experience loading dump trucks in a mining environment.
  • Knowledge of ore markups and pit configuration.
  • Skills to mine benches and cut batters with minimal material for final trim.
  • HR driver's license (desirable).
  • Proven commitment to health and safety.
