Job Description

We are looking for Fixed Plant Operatorsto join our Newhaul Port Logistics team on a casual basis. The role involves efficiently unloading trucks and conducting meticulous inspections to ensure the overall safety and functionality of plant equipment.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Efficiently unload trucks and trains, ensuring safe and timely transfer of materials.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on plant equipment for optimal functionality.
  • Conduct general inspections to promptly address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with management, contractors, operator maintainers, and loader operators.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety regulations strictly.
  • Operate mobile equipment responsibly and report hazards promptly.
  • Contribute to safety protocol development and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including unloading, maintenance, and safety checks.
  • Ensure proper documentation of incidents and resolutions.

This is a casual opportunity, based in Geraldton. To be considered for this role you will need to reside within the vicinity of Geraldton.

Qualifications
  • Valid and current licence.
  • Verification of competency (VOC) for Front-End Wheel Loader (FEL).
  • Relevant VOC's for other machinery operations.
