Principal Human Health/Ecological Risk Assessor role at Epic Environmental. You'll lead and deliver high-level risk assessments across Australia, mentor the team, and guide clients through regulatory and scientific challenges.
What You'll Be Doing- Deliver detailed human health and ecological risk assessments for contaminated sites
- Lead the development of Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) and exposure assessments
- Interpret toxicological, site, and exposure data to inform health/ecological risks
- Review or prepare site-specific risk-based criteria
- Advise clients, auditors and regulators on site management strategies
- Support business development and proposal writing
- Mentor and train emerging risk assessors within the team
- Degree in Environmental Science, Toxicology, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or similar
- Minimum 8+ years in risk assessment roles (consulting or regulator)
- Strong technical knowledge of NEPM, CRC CARE, enHealth and relevant state-based frameworks
- Experience working on complex industrial or contaminated land sites
- Confidence working with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in mentoring others
