South Coast Baptist College is seeking a passionate and reliable educator to join our Primary team in a part-time contract position for the 2025 academic year. Serving approximately 680 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, our Primary School offers a warm and engaging Christian learning environment.

This role involves providing relief teaching across four days per week, supporting various classes to ensure a smooth continuation of learning. We are ideally looking for one educator to cover all four days, but we are open to considering applicants available for fewer days.

Selection Criteria:
  1. Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
  2. An understanding of the West Australian Curriculum, particularly in general classroom teaching and Physical Education.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly across multiple teaching roles.
  4. A commitment to the values and ethos of an independent/private school, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  5. Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment that meets diverse student needs.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the school community.
  7. A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  8. Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs and practices.
  9. Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith.
  10. Ability to build cooperative relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents.
  11. Commitment to personal best practice.
  12. Impartial, fact-based, and fair decision-making.
  13. Modeling appropriate communication channels.
  14. Acting in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
  15. Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
  16. Maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College's policies.
Certifications Required:
  1. National Police Clearance
  2. Working with Children Check
  3. First Aid Certificate
