Overview

KU Corrimal East Preschool is located near Corrimal Beach and operates during NSW preschool term time from 8:00am to 3:30pm, nurturing creativity, curiosity and growth for up to 20 children in a play-based program. We are independently rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard by the NSW Department of Education and are an Early Start Engagement Centre partnering with The University of Wollongong and the Early Start Research Institute to support innovative early childhood education.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and reflective Certificate III-qualified educator with a strong understanding of Circle of Security, Attachment Theory, and play-based learning environments. The role offers the opportunity to engage in collaborative research and pedagogical partnerships with universities and to contribute to innovative approaches in early education. A deep commitment to inclusive practices is essential to create welcoming, equitable spaces where every child and family feels a true sense of belonging.

We are looking for a Certificate III-qualified educator to join the service 5 days a week: Monday 3 hrs 45 min and Tuesday to Friday 3 hrs 10 min per day.

Responsibilities and Qualities
  • Provide child-centred, play-based learning experiences in line with EYLF.
  • Apply Circle of Security and Attachment Theory in daily practice.
  • Collaborate with universities and participate in pedagogical partnerships.
  • Commit to inclusive practices and ensure welcoming, equitable spaces for all children and families.
  • Maintain a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Certificate III qualification
  • Completed Child Protection Training and demonstration of current child-safe practices
  • Understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
