As we continue on an exciting chapter of growth, we need you to join us as a Practice Manager for Conciliation. This is a key leadership position within the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC). Equipped with your senior-level leadership skills, you will lead a senior team of Conciliation Team Managers with a focus on continuous development of a high performing, collaborative and supportive leadership team. This includes overseeing continuous improvement and quality standards, and promoting a professional, constructive, accountable and learning culture.

Harnessing your strengths in stakeholder engagement, you will work collaboratively with other leaders to identify and actively respond to employee, stakeholder, and service challenges. Additionally, you will inform and advance organisational goals and objectives, improve organisational performance and promote a high performing culture of accountability and service excellence.

As a member of the Dispute Resolution Leadership team within WIC, fostering key strategic internal and external stakeholder relationships will be important to identify priorities, resolve issues, positively influence, and enable the team's ability to deliver a high quality service.

Who we're looking for:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong senior-level leadership experience leading, developing and empowering a leadership cohort within a complex legislative framework
  • Demonstrated experience with leading teams through periods of change, ensuring that leadership support is in place and that goals and objectives are executed.
  • Proven experience building, developing and sustaining high-performing teams driven to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
  • Strong leadership capability to coach for growth, create clarity, build connection and lead in context to develop and sustain individual and team high performance.
  • Lead confidently and effectively through ambiguity, uncertainty and change and build commitment of others to adopt new ways of working and behaving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and the ability to engage with a broad range of audiences respectfully and patiently
  • High level of organisational skill working closely with senior leaders to effectively forward plan to an operating horizon, identify continuous improvement initiatives to help manage workload and competing demands.
