Position SummarySafely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
What you'll do- Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
- Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
- Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
- Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders
- Team up to clear aisles of debris, remove empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging area
- Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing related duties
- High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
- Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence (size, type, style, color, product code)
- Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers or the packing/shipping area
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing/shipping
- Marks materials with identifying information; opens bales, crates, and containers; records amounts of materials received or distributed
- Weighs or counts items for distribution and assists in billing process
- Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly and uses computer to enter records
- Drives vehicle to transport stored items
