A long-established and high-performing law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper / Accounts Clerk to support its Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring accounting professional to grow their career in a structured and professional setting. This entry-level position is ideal for someone currently studying or recently qualified in accounting or bookkeeping who is keen to gain real-world experience in a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
• Reconcile corporate credit card expenses and staff claims
• Support with payroll processing, superannuation, and employee reimbursements
• Maintain and update leave records and staff entitlements
• Assist in managing trust accounting in compliance with relevant legal standards (e.g. NSW Law Society regulations)
• Generate financial reports via internal systems
• Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and tax regulations
• Provide general administrative and accounts support as required
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in:
• Certificate III in Accounts Administration or
• Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive and eager to learn and develop professionally
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
