Position Type: Practical Legal Training (PLT) Work Experience Placement
Duration: Minimum 60 days (as required by law programs)
Supervisor: Accredited Australian Legal Practitioner
We are seeking a motivated and reliable law student currently undertaking their PLT to join our legal practice for an internship placement. You will gain exposure to real client matters under the supervision of experienced solicitors, contributing meaningfully to a wide range of legal tasks across family, commercial, and property law.
ResponsibilitiesLegal research and drafting of correspondence, court documents, and contracts
File management, legal admin, and document preparation
Attending client meetings and court (as an observer)
Assisting with litigation preparation and discovery
Supporting solicitors with day-to-day casework
Currently completing a PLT program with an Australian university or provider
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Availability for at least 3 days per week, flexible around coursework
Mentorship from qualified lawyers
Experience across multiple practice areas
Insight into day-to-day law firm operations
Contribution to meaningful client outcomes
Potential pathway to graduate employment
