Lead Cyber Security Engineer (Palo Alto) – Mantel

About the role- Providing industry experience and recommendation across a wide range of technologies and solutions.
- Understanding client business requirements, current strategies, technologies, limitations and translating them into robust, justifiable security solution definitions.
- Leading large-scale security projects for enterprise customers, particularly where Palo Alto services are significantly employed. Specific experience in designing and deploying one or more of the following products is desirable: Prisma Access (SASE); Cortex (CNAPP); Software firewalls.
- Developing designs for security infrastructure, platforms and services, including network security group policies, IAM controls, data loss prevention policies and more.
- Reviewing, designing and implementing secure solutions across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google).
- Acting as Mantel Group's primary technical partner with Palo Alto, staying informed on product developments and maintaining relationships with key Palo Alto product SEs.
- Supporting sales and pre-sales activities with clients.
- Note: This role will focus on Palo Alto products but will also apply to broader networking, infrastructure and general cloud security.
What you'll need to be successful
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the Palo Alto cloud product portfolio (primarily in cloud contexts) and products from comparable vendors.
- Experience designing, implementing and maintaining security solutions and controls, primarily in cloud and/or hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of zero trust principles and architectures, including practical limitations and inhibitors to successful implementations.
- Cloud DevOps engineering skills with experience deploying infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) or using Python/Ansible for configuration management.
- Willingness to continually upskill, including learning new technologies and obtaining new certifications.
- Experience leading teams and projects, mentoring and guiding junior consultants.
- Experience working in regulated environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
