Amazon is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician to join the team at our Facility within our Moorebank Fulfilment Centre (FC).

In this role, you will lead a technical team in carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance activities, repairing and maintaining the machinery that keeps Amazon running

Key job responsibilities

  1. Supervise and lead Maintenance Technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.
  2. Deliver and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management.
  3. Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe working across the site.
  4. Manage maintenance related purchase orders to maximize smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance.
  5. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and all other operational equipment.
  6. Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization, including regular attendance to site leadership meetings and steering committees.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Formal trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter/Turner or Electrician with current electrical trade license.
  2. Leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams in a fast-paced manufacturing/distribution centre environment.
  3. Experience in mentoring and developing technicians.
  4. Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
  5. Experience using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
  6. Experience in contractor management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  2. Experience in automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, work order management.
  3. Experience in multi-contractor management.
  4. Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
  5. Facility management.
