As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Bookkeeping Manager to join our dynamic team.

The Position:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Manager who will be jointly responsible for overseeing a team of bookkeeping professionals, ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping for our clients. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

On offer is a flexible hybrid working model - Full time or school hours preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.
• Review and verify bookkeeping entries, identifying errors and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to address financial queries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist in the preparation of client financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements and implementing necessary changes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with demonstrable experience in team leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and tools, such as Xero, MYOB, Hubdoc, Dext, XPM, FYI Docs and other add on solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work within established deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to visit clients or new prospects.
• Relevant qualification in bookkeeping certificate 4 or higher
• Membership in a reputable bookkeeping association such as the ICB
