Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Business Partner is a key senior member of the Finance Team being primarily responsible for leading the forecasting and budget process and delivering accurate and timely financial and operational reporting.

Rivergum is South Australia's leading medium density residential developer, the company delivers a wide diversity of projects ranging from wholly owned, joint-venture and strategic build partner developments, and enjoys strong relationships with a range of Tier 1 Developers, Private, Government and Social Housing Development Partners.
Key responsibilities include
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making and provide proactive insights and analysis.
- Lead and coordinate the monthly rolling forecasts and annual budget process by incorporating operational insights into financial projections and ensuring alignment with business strategies.
- Prepare accurate and timely month-end reporting including KPI and scorecard reporting to deliver in monthly business unit review meetings.
- Review of margins including any cost variances and identify trends.
- Analyse individual development projects and tender submissions.
- Supporting the greater finance team and assist with management of external parties including insurance, bank, audit and taxation.
- Management of insurance claims and support annual renewal process.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial models, reporting processes, and systems to ensure best practice.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience at management reporting (minimum 3 years).
- CA/CPA qualifications are desirable, but not necessary.
- Proactive, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal, written, communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and accurate record management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Candidates with an understanding of the residential building sector, construction, project accounting or property development sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.
