This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This iconic project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Future Generation Joint Venture on behalf of SC Hydro Pty Ltd is currently recruiting for a TBM Operator (Pilot) on the Snowy 2.0 Project in the Snowy Monaro region. The project is working a 14:7 roster, 12 hour shifts which may include days/nights rotating.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Have experience with operation of TBM's controlling cutterheads
  2. Erect tunnel lining segments, prepare segment inspection and installation reports
  3. Ensure proper alignment and driving during TBM operations
  4. Operate, perform daily maintenance and routine servicing of equipment
  5. Ensure timely progress of work according to schedule and plans
  6. Familiarize themselves with the approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures and rescue plans
  7. Complete shift/daily records
  8. Identify any and all safety hazards and notify the appropriate persons accordingly

You must currently hold the following tickets/licences:

  1. Drivers licence
  2. High risk work licence – Forklift, EWP, DG
  3. Working at Heights
  4. Confined Space
  5. General Construction Induction training (white card)
  6. Right to work in Australia
  7. Be able to pass medical and a criminal history check

These positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
